I’ll be the first to say it – I’ve never really followed any fashion trends. Blame my father, but he taught me that getting caught up about what you wear wasn’t as important as other real concerns in life – and for the most part, I have tried to stay true to his ideals. But from time to time, I find myself slipping and trying out new fashion styles (I am a woman after all 
)
So, these past few weeks, I have found myself falling in love with bootcut jeans. Not only do they make my ass look great (not that it needed any help or anything like that), but I look taller. In fact, I would say that they make me look great without going overboard.
But I haven’t settled on a favorite brand yet. I’ve tried some jeans from 1921, Levi’s, Harley Davidson and Guess… but none of them have really wowed me yet.
So, I’m hoping that some of you ladies out there might have some ideas as to what is the best brand of bootcut jeans – feel free to share your thoughts below.
After a long stint working, everyone (including me), needs a break. So, I have decided that a break for me is long overdue, which means that it is time to put myself first.
So, I have been looking for the past few days to find a location for my trip. I have decided to go see the Rocky Mountains up in Canada, as I have seen some wonderful pictures of the scenery up there. But, I found myself without an appropriate handbag to take with me, so I have been trying to find a discount leather bags that would compliment my outfit, and handle the “rugged” outdoors as I plan to do a lot of hiking.
Anyway, I hope to post some pictures of my trip when I get back, though it may take awhile – I going to enjoy the experience, not necessarily record it.
As some of you know, I do have a “little” weakness for handbags. In fact, it would be my one vice in life, and I might have just a few too many that I have picked up over the years. I thought I knew everything that there was to know about handbags, but this week I was proven wrong.
You see, a girlfriend of mine suggested that I take a look at Balenciaga handbags. Honestly, it was a brand that I had never heard of and I was curious – what was I supposed to expect from this brand that I had never seen?
We went down to the local boutique where she knew they had some on display, and I was shocked – I had never seen anything so beautiful.
But after looking at the price, I knew that I had to be a little pickier than I had on other handbag purchases – they were at the top of my price range.
So… I walked away that day empty handed, but I vow that I will find a Balenciaga handbag that I love – that is love enough to buy.
When it comes to working hard, I know that I maybe take things a little too seriously. I guess that goes with the territory of being an entrepreneur, but that doesn’t mean that I need a break. In fact, I am guilty for not getting away enough.
So, on the advice of a good friend, I have booked a Branson log cabin for this weekend and it should be great. I am going to leave work at home and maybe get some painting done. I’m leaving on Friday and will be coming home late Sunday. I’m looking forward to spending time somewhere other than home.
In fact, if things go well, I think that I will have to take a break more often. A girl deserves a break now and then, right?
As women, I know that we appreciate something that fits perfectly and makes us feel sexy. Now, I’m not talking about those after hours clothing that you might wear on special occasions, but rather what you wear on the beach.
Now, I know that for a large number of you, finding a swimsuit is easy. You just run over to the local store and pick up whatever you like. But for some women that don’t have the model body, or might be “blessed” in some areas (at least according to their husbands), finding a swimsuit that fits well can be tough.
But after doing a bit of research for Jill, one of my best friends, we found a site that specializes in plus size swimwear. They certainly have better selection than any store we have here in town and she was able to find a cute little number that I am sure she will look great in.
It will be great to see her out at the beach with her kids this summer – she deserves it.
It has been some time since I treated myself to anything, so I thought I would change that today. A girl can’t work all the time without a treat now and then, right?
So, I decided that I should go out shopping for a new purses. I have always been a fan of Guess purses and I thought that I could add another to my collection. It has been awhile since I bought a purse, so today seemed as good as any.
After browsing through a few stores, I settled on a pink one that I have been eyeing for awhile. I was going to take a picture of it, but since my camera seems to be broken, that will just have to wait.
Needless to say, I had a great day away from work doing something I love – shopping :)
Though most of the people in my circle of friends don’t use the Internet for anything but surfing and shopping, but I am happy to say that one of them has started talking about her business online. If you are into scrapbooking, you might know of my good friend Twyla Norris.
